Food for thought question (engine life/fuel issues).....
I was just thinking the other day (dangerous I know).
A number of people have speculated that some Scooby engines have let go because of lack of fuel or fueling problems. What are the chances that as engines get older they clog up more (particularly injectors etc) and so there is more of a risk of running lean on WOT?
I regularly put a bottle of Fuel Injector cleaner through and nearly always notice a difference after. If I can notice a difference then presumably something is getting clogged up. I know Optimax etc are supposed to have 'cleaning' properties, but even though I use Optimax/SuperPlus I get a difference after a bottle of Injector Cleaner.
Any thoughts?
