jap show @ santa pod 10th oct names please!
The SIDC are pleased to announce the they will be in attendance at the Japanese Performance Show @ Santa Pod.
Sunday October 10th
Admission (On the Gate) –Adult £12 (Under 13's Free)
Advanced Tickets can be purchased direct through Santa Pod - £9. Subject to booking fee. Tel No. 01234 782828 or Online Ticket Booking
RWYB - £12 for 3 runs down the strip Remember all cars need to be road legal with MOT and Driving Licence (Both need to be brought with you)
The classes are as follows:
A Nissan/Datsun
B Toyota/Lexus
C Honda/Acura
D Mitsubishi/Proton
E Subaru
F Mazda
G Suzuki/Daihatsu/Isuzu
X All other vehicles and non-road legal
Basically it is on the same basis as the Japanese show we attended in June and October 2003 and on a similar concept as the FastShow.
The aim of the day is to see which Jap car (marque) is the Fastest.
Along with the RWYB there are :
Traders: Huge trade area including loads of Jap-only automotive traders and exhibitors, and loads of traders selling fashion items, concessions and collectables.
Club Stands: Lots of Japanese car clubs
Jet Car Demos: 0-270 mph in less than six seconds! If you haven't seen this beast in action, you haven't lived!
Jap Drag-Race knockout competition: The fastest Jap cars on the scene go head-to-head for the very first time! More details coming soon!
Show Car Area:Some of the finest show cars on the Jap Scene.
And there's more: Including sideshows, cars for sale, demo vehicles, adrenaline rides, Show cars, full bar and catering facilities, etc etc.
FREE Grandstand Seats
So it's pay on the day or book your own advanced tickets now.
We have secured a Club Stand area with a provision of 40 spaces
As with the other shows at this venue Santa Pod are issuing out Car Passes.
You will require a Santa Pod car pass to gain access onto the SIDC Club Stand, without one you won't get onto the stand.

Chris, myself and Big Daz are planning to go up on the Saturday and stay in a Motel, did this last year and paid £37 for the room (3 sharing). Planning on going down the local pub and watching the footy (England v Wales...flame suit on
).

I'm back from hols and looking forward to a nice meet-up now, although I am not sure about watching that particular game surrounded by all the English "people... cough.. w*nkers.... cough"

Si, Daz, chris what time are you planning on leaving sat 9th, I've just booked a holiday and found out I fly back into cardiff @ 4.30 on the 9th, clear customs and baggage reclaim 5.30ish, not sure whether to drive (Olds car) home to lampeter and collect car or leave the scoob in parking at cardiff and drive strieght to meet you guys. let me know what the plan is, i'll be on scoobynet this weekend and next friday, if not, can someone let me know by text on 07900888000.

Hi mate, not sure yet as nothings been finalised, will be looking at leaving about 14.00 on the 9th, so should get upto the motel around 17.00. Plenty of time to get down the pub for the footy.
If you want mate, I can call you and give you the details of the motel (Ibis - on the outskirts of wellingbrough), you can then get yourself there and booked in and come down the pub.

It was indeed mate!! 
Always give it some pulling out of the car park as the hill helps the back-end drift around quite nicely!
Plus there is something abou the stone walls that really suits the noise! It always sounds that little bit special there!
Still, i suppose 8,800rpm in the teg will sound quite nice there as well
lol.
