riteOFF pay out & buy back info
dam it happend, i smashed the front end of my my99 the other night and now wondering wots the best option to take.
1. claim (fully comp) and prob have the car written off.
2. pay for the repair and not suffer with the hiked up premiums for years to come.
a bodyshop man said it would prob get wrote off if i claim so i may be able to buy it back dirt cheap which i would like to do but,
WILL I DEFINATLY GET THE OPTION TO BUY IT,
cause i dont wanna lose it and have just the payout cash.
probably cost about 1500-2000grand to repair without involving the insurance company.
?not sure wots best, don't wanna lose the scoob though

NO you will not have the right to buy it back if they pay out it is THEIR car although if you tell them from the start you want to keep the car they might do a deal
Some will just flat refuse to let you have it!!
If you fix it and dont claim then you should still tell them you had an accident and they will charge more anyway
YOU CANT WIN

Just gotta pay myself i think then, not gonna risk letting insurer's take it away.
Not likely gonna be telling them i crashed though, probably charge me same as if i made a claim.
