Ok I'll bite . I have an MY00 wagon and have driven many saloons. I know they are classics but the results will be more or less the same for an MY03/04.
Wagon will be a bit noisier (especially with non standard BB) .. will be a tiny bit slower (slightly heavier) not so you'd notice. Will have slightly less grip (more than likely) as the saloon has a wider track.
The saloon has a fixed rear bulkhead so it supposed to be a bit stiffer but the wagon is said to have better handling
due to weight distribution.
I'm sure if someone blinfolded you, sat you down, told you not to look around and you didn't notice the different front wings you'd be hard pressed to tell which one you were driving.
