Trouble at the moment is that there are a few WR1 sites popping up but no "official" unofficial site, if you get my drift. I guess it's gonna be a case of time will tell and one site in particular will rise from all the others.

Also, the threads tend to be repeats from on other sites. For example, most people seem to be posting about the WR1 rolling road day on here so I'm not really surprised that responses on the WR1 sites are sparse at the moment.

I posted a reply about the rolling road day on the wr1oc site, no responses as yet though

I've seen a WR1 BBs thats also very good, which dosnt seem like an exclusive site, much like 22B etc but without as many members, but seems to get good hits for such a new small site

WR1 BBS

edited to add that I dont have a WR1 but visit the site regular, cos one day you never know

I guess you can discuss polishing techniques.....apart from that, you will be here for all the technical info.

I guess maybe they need a refreshing change and helpfull posts from some of the rather childish replies some kids post on this forum.

Why can't some people on this forum be a little more mature about it, and be happy for them, or just not reply?

Sad tbh..

Ps i don't own a WR1.. But its a great car, have fun! (im from the dark side btw)

and whats wrong with having a club for a certain model of impreza???

RB5
P1
22B
Terzo

to name but a few

its nothing at all to do with "elitist tosh"

I started the RB5 Owners club up, a lot of the owners at that time were talking about it but no1 really bit the bullet, so I did. I thought it would be good for owners of the same model to be able to talk & meet other owners, and feel they are part of something.

most of them still come on SN and we have no problems with other people coming onto our site/forum and joining us on our stands at shows.

thats my opinion tho...

I dont know whats the matter with some people , if you want to join a wr1 forum then why not , makes no difference to me what other people do or what cars they drive` its called freedom of choice.

I didnt start the WR1 site to cause any sort of stir up between Impreza owners, I hope it can be an alternative site for all impreza owners to air their views. Its in no way to be considered Eliteist, but there are certain questions that need to be asked about the particular marque. It reminds me of when 22B started and all the then turbo , sti owners thought it was a segregation but its never been that has it ??
22B like the new WR1 BBS is there to help owners that have a car that dosnt have any previous problems or issues. The site is not meant to be eliteist and at the moment has less than 40 members, but hopefully it will grow and I'll pay for a good server instead of using the free one I have at the moment.

feel free to have a look and even post that you disapprove as that is what I personally think a public board should be.

sorry for the long post, but its also my first try at running and installing a public board but it seems that so far it is a welcome site and will hopefully encourage any Impreza owner to post even if its a criticism

Regards

Phil

With the kind of stupid comments and slating we have been getting about the WR1 you can't really be suprised that someone has started a WR1 site were we won't have to listen to this unfounded drivel...

Haven't heard from one WR1 owner that isn't delighted with the car, like it or not it's still the best UK spec. Impreza there's been bar none...Although I still love the look of the 22b

I wouldn't take davyboy too seriously. Its nothing personal against WR1 owners. davyboy treats all Imprezas with equal disdain

I just don't see the point in having a specialist web site for a different coloured Impreza? All of you will look at SN for technical info anyway.

I am just not sure what can be gained by having YET ANOTHER independant website. Maybe I am missing the point and you can explain to me?

Do you post on the rs owners club etc and ask why have an rs owners club it only an escort/sierra etc with a spoiler and a bit of tuning?
WR1 owners are prob hoping they can get away from muppet comments like yours

To be fair, I think if all owners had to pick just one site it would be ScoobyNet.

Main difference to a UK Sti would be DCCD.

Other than that not much that can't be added ie 18" PFFF wheels.

Oh, and the gay colour

Is the WR1 only available in the UK?

I saw one in Finland a couple of weeks ago.
