MY03 WRX using oil ??

Default MY03 WRX using oil ??

Had the car since Feb04 (so about 6 months) seems that every 3 months im putting in about 1 litre of oil.
Is there anyoneone else out there experiencing this??

My same year STi has used 500ml over last 6 months.

I've had my 03 wrx for over a year and never needed to top up the oil ?

Perhaps its the oil grade you are using. I understand that a number of people who use 5W30 oils consume oil. You could try moving to a 10W40 grade oil - a number of folk have reported quieter engines and no or much smaller oil consumption.

Mine used a hell of a lot when it was new. Hardly uses any now its over 10k though.

My WRX03 uses about 300-500ml of Castrol 10W/60 between 5000km changes when I thrash it very often but when I drive it normaly less than 100ml!
Have seen though many 03-04 WRXs that consume a lot of oil espacially in our hot weather conditions!
