Default Been offered new STi 9 suspension

Hi there,

I've been offered a set of STi 9 suspension (struts/springs), new and unused for a very good price.

Should I get it and fit it to my MY02 STi, if only as a means of refreshing the suspension with new parts.

?

Get the Prodrive springs fitted + Powerstation mods as in geometry setup, ALK, new ARB and drop links.

Far better value for money and transforms car's handling, can't see what you will gain from fitting STi 9 suspension, more of the same surely?

After a search on Nasioc I found that STI9 has completely different suspension, more refined and quite eliminating the known clunking problem.
I can't say if worthwhile but isn't same as grobby says!

I was thinking on the lines of either buying the set now and fitting it, or keeping it in the garage until such time that my current suspension starts knocking again and the warranty has expired. That way I have a spare set.

Like I said, the suspension has been offered to me very cheap.

2003 WRX STi Sedan specifications for the front suspension:

Travel full jounce - 75 mm
Travel full rebound - 95 mm
Spring rate - 39.2 N/mm
Stabilizer bar - 19 mm diameter

Specifications for the rear:

Travel full jounce - 100 mm
Travel full rebound - 100 mm
Spring rate - 34.0 N/mm
Stabilizer bar - 20 mm diameter

2004 WRX STi Sedan specifications for the front suspension:

Travel full jounce - 65 mm
Travel full rebound - 95 mm
Spring rate - 39.2 N/mm
Stabilizer bar - 20 mm diameter

Specifications for the rear:

Travel full jounce - 85 mm
Travel full rebound - 100 mm
Spring rate - 34.0 N/mm
Stabilizer bar - 20 mm diameter

Even between 2003-2004 models there are some differences but I am not sure if the above applies to UK models!
