Just to let you all know there is going to be a new speed limit in place on approach to the toll plaza m4 2nd seven crossing w/b ,its going to be a 50MPH and its going to be strictly ENFORCED I will let you know when this goes live it could be as early as this friday

Also, I think I have been zapped by the camera van, on the bridge overlooking the dual carriageway that bypasses Cowbridge.

Never seen him there before - bstardos.

Going towards Cardiff, over bridge going uphill. Pulled out to overtake van, and SHIIITTTTT!!

Brakes on, but reckon I was doing about 85.

I used to live in Cardiff and work in Bridgend, always used A48 (had a VFR800 at the time) and didn't see the van ONCE on the A48 in hundreds of journeys. Typical.

 

So long as they don't put a 50 speed limit leaving the tolls.... still in 2nd then

 

Sorry to tell you but the limit does extend after the tolls for approx 400yds

 

Another revenue machine then. I can understand why they want to reduce the speed on the approach. Just how many accidents do they have in that locality? anyone seen any?

I always used to go the long way round when I go to cardiff, but it cost more on fuel and time, so now i use the crossing everytime. (Have the workers in the booths got a sence of humor at all? they always appear grumpy to me)

just do what i do and fit a jammer to the front and back of your car works a treat.. oops should not call it that its an automatic garage opener..:-)

As far as i can see this is to simply generate income, they obviosuly have not been catching enough people so lets introduce a lower limit and try and catch everyone out.., I go across it each day and see no accidents/problems whatsoever.. Infact the only problems i have are with idiots using the tag lane and stopping me going through quickly...
