How Do I Delete IE Address Bar History?
TweakUI, which you can get from M$ (search their site). Under the tab "paranoia" there is "delete typed URL history". I'd assume that you can do the same (make it happen every time you log out) with a reg edit, but Tweak is a useful tool for many things.

agree with tweak UI - very handy.
your problem is auto-complete;
tools/internet options/content - click on autocomplete.
untick web addressess, and any others you see fit.
