Talking OE MAP sensor 1.5 bar max?

Does the MY02 map sensor a 1.5 bar max reading? If I change it to a 2 bar sensor, does the ECU need a remap for the 0-5V (a guess) range? Ie would a 1.5 bar sensor read different to 2 bar sensor in the same boost range?

What;s the best map sensor to buy? Is it worth it? OR have I got the figures wrong?

Reads up to 1.8 bar max and yes a wider range sensor will produce a different output boost for boost.

Unless you can change the ecu callibration to suit you cannot change in any case. And thats not available in the EcuTek software for example.

So no its definately not necessary ... unless you are going to run higher boost than that.

Okay thanks Bob - 1.8 bar is plenty. Glad I don't have to change it.

One thing, not related. You've done the Aquamist 2S fitting before to a m8's RB5 down the road from me...can you help re the ECU terminal numbers...
I need the terminal number for engine revs (negative) signal and the map sensor signal (upto approx 5v). It's for an MY02 UK WRX. I'm happy to pay for this Bob...just let me know how much (If you can help).

Cheers
