Default 3 port boost solenoid? how much diff?

hey all, how much difference would this make to having an ECUTEK remap with full decat (My01 WRX), as apposed to having a normal solenoid? as i'm thinking of uprgrading the turbo also how would this affect it? where can i get one too? thanks for your help once again

I've never found a need for a 3 port on the new age cars. Boost control is much better with the DENSO ECU.

I can be used to good effect on the classics, but even then I prefer a Dawes.....it takes me too long to map the 3 port correctly using the crappy JECS, and customers generally aren't willing to pay

Depending on who you're getting your car mapped by the may well require you to have a 3 port as it offers better boost control.

You can get it from breakers for around £40.

Dont just swap a 2port to a 3port without a map or your boost control will go bonkers (when I did this mine went off the boost gauge at 1.5bar+!).
