Default Which Gearbox?

I currently have a noisy 3rd gear in my MY00 Uk turbo.

Rather than spending a fortune rebuildingthe inherantly weak box,I am looking to replace the box and diff. with something that's a bit more up to the job ( around 300/320 bhp and 300lb )

However, I don't really want something with mega close ratios...don't want to be shifting gear every other second!

Can anyone recommend a suitable box + diff.? - STi or something similar.

Thanks

Ant good s/h box will cost about £500+, you might get a diff with it too to match.
The labour to change the rear diff is ££££££££, long job.
