Recently got STi type RA V Limited applied model number GC8 E4DD which means 97/08 to 98/03 version 4. The problem is that the interior and badges say V3. Can anyone help as it is booked in with David at API for re-build as crank fouled after service. Just want to make sure I give API all the correct details.

 

If it has facelift dash then 4, otherwise 3 mate!

The V3 refers to the logos on the seat backs and is a celebration of 3 world rally championship wins and is nothing to do with the version of STi. You can get WRX RA's [non STi ] V limited or just plain Limited, with the same seats and trim.

From memory V limited has colour coded side skirts etc and Limited has either no skirts or plain black ones.

Your car is version 4 STi.
