Thought redline was 7.2k??

I have mine set to 6.1.... then when I see the light (can't hear the beep due to exhaust!! ) I know exactly how much "reserve" I've got left before it's game over!

depends, on the track lots of twistes 2nd/3rd gear stuff 6100, on mostly 3rd/4th 6400 and mostly 4th/5th 6800.

mainly as a reminder if I'm invovled in a cornering near rev limit can keep feathering throttle rather than hit limiter. and reaction time to buzzer and rising Rev's at lower ratio's.

Normally go by sound/feel of engine load and sometimes first few laps with Crash hat on i tend to over rev and is a good guide.

6.5k - although around London I hardly ever get near that. Should reset it to 2.5k

By the time the light registers in me brain & i'm ready to change i've hit 6.9K anyway.

Talking scares you ******* silly

Set mine to 7.5 matey (03 STI UK), just enough time before the auto cut out that scares you ******* silly the first time it happens ... thought I'd shagged the engine. Had it set to 4k but got well pissed off with the constant bleeping

Not on my STI it doesn't. As someone else has said setting it lower gets on your nerves after a while.

For me setting it this high is a safety net, not the limit I drive to at every opportunity.

when you set it you can set it to only show the light with no buzzer.
set rev limit then after that when you change it to on or off this only means the buzzer. the light will still come on if you chose no.
