Pink STi sticker.

do a search.... I'm sure there are pics of them on here. 'MY99 PPP ECU' should get some results.

Thanks Nelson.

Planning for some changes next month but have a dilemma:
What would you guys do:

MY00 + PPP

1) Scoobysports Backbox (4.5") & Decat Centre
or
2) Stick with Prodrive Backbox but go Decat Centre & Downpipe

If I went with the 2nd choice would I need a remap?

Thanks Ashley

PS Apologies for hijacking this thread

I have a MY99 + PPP and recently fitted a H&S decat downpipe and straight through centre (the PPP one was holed). Keeping the PPP backbox means it's not too noisy, but the downpipe makes the biggest difference. There's a real shove in the mid-range and it spools up quicker too.

You don't "need" a remap, just check that the boost doesn't spike to the fuel-cut. Apparently some PPP'd cars need the restrictor enlarging but mine was fine. It holds just around 15.5 psi and the highest it's peaked is 16.9.

Same as Dibs - I have the full Decat on a PPP MY00 - but I originally had loads of problems. However tried again with restrictor drilled out to 1.3mm and no problems since

As per usual thanks for your comments all.
All ready for my trip to Scoobyclinic this August so we'll see what happens.

Reckon im gonna go with the decat centre & downpipe.

Just found out it's an ae800 not the ppp

Now the thing is does this ecu work better than the ae802 which I have in my MY00?
The reason I ask is that the car the 800 is in seems to perform better than my car so would I be better off swapping them or leaving alone?

Both cars are standard.

No Probs

Couldnt give a more detailed answer earlier, as I was in work

Basically the 800 will continue to accelerate without tailing off boost, until close to the redline, whereas the 802 runs out of puff around 5k rpm

the 800 runs slightly leaner too (but nothing of any concern, as it is a stock ECU from MY99 cars)

the 802 was standard on MY00's and was changed slightly (afaik) to make better emissions, and an increased safety margin
