Hi,
Fitted a AFR a little while ago and readings were lean. Thought this may be down to not using direct battery earth and not wired straight in to ECU (used lamda wire). Changed to a direct eart last weekend and got a brighter lean reading.
This weekend I changed from Apexi induction kit to box and K&N, readings are the same.
Could someone tell me where I wire in to the ECU on a 98 STI RA please ?
Also could my lamda by knackered ? Idle and everything else all ok.
PS Only getting a flickering second green at 7000rpm on knocklink.
Cheers
Clive

If the AFR is sweeping/pulsing at idle and off-boost then it's wired correctly. Maybe the MAF is on the way out. I think you can clean the MY98 MAF with a cotton bud and brake cleaner.
It won't be the lambda as that is unused when positve boost is produced. The MAF is then used to calculate the AFR.

AFR never goes into the 'ideal' range on my gauge. Has 3 red LED's for lean and on cold start up I get bright reds then these disappear once car is warm and then only light up again when backing off throttle or riding along off boost.
