hey all

lastnight when leaving the pub... going up hill, driving 30mph... in 3rd/4th gear i changed gear into 4th.... and my "check engine" light come on... nothing seemed wrong with the car and was drivable no noises or anything....

i slowed down and pulled over... stopped for a few mins to see if it would go out... didnt...

we got to our destination and let the car run for further 5 minutes and didnt go off... turned car off and went away for 2 hours.... come back, started car.. and it stayed off. and didnt come on at all through the next journey..

any ideas?

only recently put a MRT twin trumpet VTA BOV on the car... and a new TD04 turbo... as my other turbo went.

Lambda sensor perhaps?

 

I had the same problem on high speed test runs - I had CEL come on - but goes off after engine restart.

diagnostic check indicated oxygen sensor.

 

mine does the same from time to time and the diagnostic code is oxygen sensor as well. Has an aftermarket exhaust with sport cat.

 

so is it anything to be worried about? or is it fine with this coming on i assume often?

its only been just that 1 incident...
