I've removed my rear splashguards to fit some mudflaps. When I've taken them off, where they've fitted along the bumper, there's some foam type stuff that's been used to stick them on still stuck to the paintwork.

I've no idea what to use to get this stuff off, and don't want to try anything without recommendation in case it ruins my paintwork. But as you can imagine, it looks crap at the minute as it is.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks for that Steve. Managed to get 1 side done, but the other side looks like it had been stuck on with either Evo-Stick contact adhesive or something like No More Nails!!

The WD40 isn't touching it.

Anyone with any idea's for this stuff or am I clutching at straws??

Heat it with a hair dryer to soften it up.Then try WD40 or Autoglym Intensive Tar remover.

1st. Try to contain your excitment !!

2nd. Always approach your scoob fully clothed

3rd. That way if you cannot contain your excitment , your clothes will

Tried the hairdyer method, and it did get the stuff to sort of come off, but the plastic trim under the bumper looks poor due to the stuff that's been used.

Who fixes anything on their car with Evo Stick??

Paintwork looks champion, but a new passenger side plastic trim is needed. Anybody know where I can get one??
