Default CEL coming on: Re-mapped Newage

The CEL is coming on even though I've had the car re-mapped to ignore the higher emissions (it is the o2 sensor error)

Been back to Powerstation and they have set the limit to it's highest value.

But whenever I go (and only when I go) on the motorway up it flashes, and I need to re-set the ecu with the secs 1004 to clear the light.

Have any of the mappers got any ideas as to the cause?

Cheers

when I had my02 wrx mapped by powerstation it did the same, I found restarting the car 5 times would get rid of the cel- that way your ecu gets to keep its learned maps which I thought was a good thing

now my car is mapped by BR development I have had no check lights

If Bob reads this may be he can tell you how he does it, he did show me but I have slept since then

I had exactly the same problem on my MY01 wrx that whenever I went on a motorway the CEL came on.I took it into the dealer and they diagnosed (By using the Select monitor) that the Exhaust Gas Temp sensor (EGT) was causing this problem. (Can't remember the error code though now )
It was replaced under warranty and hasn't caused a problem since. My guess is that's what's wrong with yours!! (I have a full Scoobysport decat exhaust on mine inc up-pipe)

Good luck

Nick
