Big feet on Clutch foot-rest!

Anyone have WIDE feet like me and not able to get them onto the clutch foot rest due to the connector under the carpet of the transmission tunnel?
Anyone found a solution?
Must be Japanese feet do not get to size 11 wide fitting!
Or am I the only one with big feet trying to get onto the footrest??
Any (Helpful) coments appreciated!

Hi
Try only using roads where you need to change gear often
or maybe by a pair of racing boots i think they are more streamlined unlike todays trainers and shoes which seem to get wider and wider.

I have exactly the same problem as I like to wear wide shoes for the heel 'n' toe (yes I know I do it wrong) but if I want to use the foot rest I have to use a trainer on the left foot and a shoe on the right.
OK so long as you can get out of the car in the privacy of your own garage...
