I see reference to MAF everywhere, yet i cant find what one actually is, can some one tell me.. Starting with what it is and what it looks like? plz

 

Mass Air Flow.........Sensor, It's situated between the air box and throttle body and it senses how much air is flowing over it to work out how much fuel the engine needs to operate correctly.........................I THINK!!!!

Ah so it the bit that sits on and in the pipe from the air filter, and has 2 lightbulb sytle sensors in the pipe? i saw thet when i removed it to do the plugs. thought it was like an air temprature gage.
