Question do any pipes need cutting to fit VTA d/valve to ukMY99?

i'm toying with the idea of fitting a forge VTA d/valve but know full well i will get bored of it and put the OE back on in some point of time.

want i'd like to know is do any pipes need to be cut to fit the VTA? i just thought it bolted on the i/cooler, the big pipe was blocked up with the bung and the small pipe went onto the d/valve.
only thing is i saw a pic of the fitting kit for the forge and there is a section of blue pipe with the smaller gauge pipe coming out of it and some jubilee clips(think that's what they're called) so it looks like you've got to plumb into one of the large pipes with the blue bit. (not technically minded so forgive my ignorance)

can anyone who's fitted one to their '99 (or similar) please tell me what they did and if this blue pipe is necassary?

any advice would be much appreciated,

thanks

Default No cutting etc

...I have a Forge VTA on MY00. Just bolts on as you say (with bung in existing pipe). Took me longer to unwrap the thing from it's packaging than it took me to fit it !

(not bored of it yet after a year)
