Thumbs down Varnish flaking on the scoop

The varnish on my bonnet scoop is coming away in large chunks, particularly when it rains because the water can get underneath it. This is on a red 99MY and it's starting to look extremely tatty. Anybody else experienced this at all? Is it repairable or is it easier to get a replacement scoop?

My mate's did this on the bonnet - not been painted before, just cr@p painting from the factory.

He had to get the whole thing stripped and repainted, luckily for you the scoop won;t be so much work!!

My scoop and the grills have done this (also red ... UK 98)

I had a guy respray the scoop (took it off and drove around without it for a week). Great job, 80 quid !

I'll be getting some 22B style grills from dr motorsport to replace the current ones..

Thanks guys. I've owned it since new so it must be a dodgy factory job. £80 doesn't sound too bad though.
