Default Solberg Edition Impreza

I have just seen a WRX STi Solberg Edition of the Impreza on the Autotrader web site, at Car Imports Direct in Bristol. I actually drove by their forecourt this morning and saw it parked out front.

It looks like the standard WRX STi alloys are fitted, although in a different colour. I presume it does not have the PPP fitted either.

Still only asking £22,995 including three year Subaru warranty.

I saw 2 there last month, they have DCCD fitted, but no PPP.

Do Subaru UK give warranty to imports these days?

I though they had to honour the warranty if the car was imported from a EU country ?

Last I heard was that it was a 1 year Subaru warranty + 2 years Subaru UK warranty. If that still is the case, then I can understand that SUK would have to honour the first year only. Did Car Imports say that SUK would honour the whole 3 years?

this is a european import, its the european special edition like the wr1 is here, as a european car it has a 3 year pan european warranty, Subaru UK do not take over the warranty they administrat it on behalf of the supplying countries importer.

say if the car came from benelux, these are supplied with a three year subaru factory warranty. you take your car to a uk dealer for warranty work they contact subaru uk to authorise the work how contact subaru benelux. This will happen for the 3 years of the warranty.

just because subaru uk import cars with a 1 year factory warranty then supply the later 2 years another way doesnt make a jot of difference to european cars.

When you import from europe you need to send Subaru UK a copy of the certitficate of conformity to prove to subaru uk it is a european type approved car and not a jdm import.

Whats the crafty marketing? Subaru make 1000 special edition STi's of which the 500 allocated to the UK also get the additional prodrive enhancement.
