Sitting a roadwork last night after a very enjoyable evening gliding at Husbands Bosworth club. Waiting for the lights to turn green when a silver Impreza Turbo stops behind me. Give a wave, but can not see if he reciprocates. Light goes green, trundle through the workworks at 30mph, then floor it. Guy behind sticks to me like glue and I wonder what the hell it is. Try not to over do it on the uphill right hander and he's still about 2 inches from my rear bumper. Decide discretion is the better part of righting off my car so back off to 65. Next hint of a straight and the guy is flying past. Take a quick look to see what it was. L reg WRX with one huge exhaust and very loud!!

If you're out there mate, would like to have stopped for a chat, but you were obviously in a hurry as the next time I saw a few seconds later you were flying down the road at a great rate of knots towards Leicester. Never saw you again.
