Default Why are classic scooby horns camp?

I have had to stop using my horn as I think it sounds a bit camp. Somebody cut me up the other day so I gave the horn a blast only to get a meeeeeeep! Sounds like it should be in a cinquecento Doesn't quite cut it with the flat 4 rumble and the scoop and vents Are the new age horns any better?!!

Horns in Japan are not designed to say "**** you pal", they are more of a friendly gesture over there

Hehehe!!! I remember when I first got the car; driving along, trying out all the ***** and switches to familiarise myself. Got to the horn and I was so disappointed I almost took the car back.

Some guys on the evo forum have had similar experiences with horns on Japanese cars.

I changed mine for a "dualhorn" airhorn thing from Halfords. Now its superloud, but super-gay. Sounds like it should be on a classic beetle or something!!

The horn on my fiesta is way way better.

I no when I used my horn for first time on scooby all my mates started laughing at me it sounds so pathetic. Best horn I had was on my XR2 think I might try and modify one to fit on my impreza plenty of scrap XR's about.

It must be another Brit thing because the standard horn in my MY00 German scooby is far from gay and limp sounding D:
