just noticed today a noice coming from the air intake pipe.It sounds like a tapping or water dripping noise??.It is really hard to explain it.It sounds perfectly fine when driving the car but you can just here it in the car when it is idling.I have pulled off the k&n filter for a few secs and it sounds like an echo from within the engine.It only makes the noise at around the intake and I have checked to see if it is coming from around the crank and it is not.It is a really light wierd sound and was hoping that some of the techies out there might be able to help me out.

P.S i was at kielder forest for the brc last night and the cars sump guard was grounding a couple of times are there any sensors or anything down there to cause this problem?

I used to notice a strange clicking type noise when I got my head close to my K and N. I figured it was something to do with the throttle body because I had no engine probs. Can't be any more help i'm afraid. Don't get scaremongered mate..........take it somewhere and get them to have a listen.

 

cheers mate, noticed it the other day and it was a one of them cases when you think its never made that noise before. I think its got to have some thing to do with kielder.I will see how it runs and maybe take it to AS performance later this week.
