Default I'm looking to buy a Scooby. Any advice appreciated!

Hello everyone, I'm in the process of selling my current car and am hopeing to find a good Scooby Turbo in Sonic Blue for around £8,000 to £8,500. Does anyone have any links to anywhere I might be able to get hold of one (must be the saloon BTW)!?

I've been a big fan of Scooby's for years now, and thought it was about time I bought one, but I really want Sonic Blue, I've lusted over that colour for as long as I can remember seeing the first Scooby in it!

Does anyone have any general advice they can offer me on good/bad point for the Scooby's? I expect to see a lot of good points!!

Many thanks in advance for any replies I get!

Regards

Graham

I learnt the following before I picked mine up 2 weeks ago.

-Take your time

- Be willing to travel

- Take someone who knows about these cars.

- Expect the worse and be pleasantly suprised!!

Good luck mate!

Cheers guys, I'm more than willing to travel the length and width of the country to find the right Scooby, this will be a car I will be keeping for quite some time so I want it to be the right one, I won't make the same mistake I made with my previous car and rush into it....Would just like a top quality standard (or slightly tweaked) model with decent mileage on it. I've seen two so far that match up to what I'm looking for, so provided I can sell my current car (should know within a fortnight) then I'll be out 'Scooby-hunting' in a couple of weeks!

Not knowing a huge amount about Impreza Turbo's I see there are a few common faults (as there are with any car of course!), are any of these found more commonly than others?

Many thanks PNB....a compression test will certainly be getting carried out....I'm an eternal worrier as I've had cars in the past which have had engine problems, so if the engine can be found to be in perfect working order I'll be very happy!

Compression testing hadn't occured to me....I'm happy to spend a few hundred pounds on checking out engines just to be sure I get the right one....I guess the engine condition is more important than the colour at the end of the day....I have a couple of colours in reserve I like too, so if I can't get a Sonic Blue for the price I'm looking to buy at, then a different colour won't be the end of the day as long as I'm happy I'm not going to have engine problems!

My previous car was back in the garage within 3 months....I don't want this to happen again!
