Blimey - We have had three notifications of impending porsecution for speeding drop through the door at work this week. All in and around Northampton, two on the A45 near Brackmills and on on the M1 @ the Rotherthorpe services (j15a) - on the M1 - they got'im from the bridge. Whilst i would never condone speeding it is a fact of life. Northamptonshire Police seem to have got the bit between their teeth are are going for it. I understand that they have just purchased two/three of the new portable digital jobbies so be warned.
The ironic thing is that i am the one with the Scooby - the one they in the office refer to as the f**k me fast loose your license car, the 'offenders' drive a Galaxy TDI, Volvo C70 and a Mazda Zeudos 6 - Ha Ha!

 

Northamptonshire Police are one of the forces taking part in a Home Offcice trial where all the funds raised from fines go into maintaing the speed detection systems, rather than lining the governments pocket.

This might explain why they are 'hotter' than usual.
