knocking or not?
hi all,
not too sure about this but, while driving my 93 import wrx lately i have noticed a really loud vibration noise coming from the engine at about 3-3 1/2 thousand revs. any ideas on what it could be?
if it is the dreaded knocking what should i do to stop it?

To confirm/deny detonation you really need a Knocklink 3K rpm is when the turbo starts to get boost,so yes it could be Detonation but it could be the manifold heatshields vibrating
Get a Knocklink fitted and take the car to an Exhaust fitter to check the heatshield
