I Have this program which runs in Dos on two discs I have had it working once before but I can not remember how the hell I got it to work is there anybody on here that that has it or something like it that will run on windows XP just that I'm thinking of doing a project and need to know some information

 

Hi, im a developer what's the program supposed to do? is it a database?, i could write something for u in VB or MSACCESS providing the cd's r in some form of format for exporting?

Yeah data base CD's what the garages used part numbers diagrams etc

 

Really difficult to get working in XP and 2000 anything nt based really, I have tried all the settings for the dos environment. Had one PC what it works on and the next it doesn't. Strange....

 

Yeah I found it ran on my old PC which had 98 on it but it doesn't seem to want to work on XP like you say

 

Really Really easy to get it working on XP, do not use NTFS as your file system

go into setup, and tell it which drive letter your cd-rom is

Alternatively get the windows version, much easier

 

Ahh I'm using NTFS Oh well
