Question just got a Green panel filter, do i REALLY need to clean the bugger every 6 months?

just read the instructions and cleaning every 6 months is recomended, what are peoples experiences with cleaning intervals?

is it really neccasary? i bought this thinking i could put it in and leave it for a fair while before i had to do anything with it.

not entirely bothered if it has to be cleaned this often, just wondering if this was a time period given for the most extreme usage situation? (i only do about 7k a year)

cheers

Ive used a green filter and never heard any fluttering

Sounds like you purchased a butterfly in a green box by accident

hope so! seems to get the thumbs up around here and has to be better than the ITG that's on there now (although it has given over 2 years of good service,so can't complain)

i don't think you'll get any noise with a panel filter mate, if you do it'll only be a little. not that i can hear a damn thing over my newly fitted firestorm anyway

I can hear the turbo spooling up with my green cotton filter in, much better than the ITG I had in there
