Default Import Insurance, Conversion and other stuff

A few questions please

Can anyone tell me of a place that will give short term insurance on my soon-to-arrive import based only on the chassis number? I'm told you can legally drive it home so long as you have insurance - Rego, MOT etc not required for the trip back...?

I dont need full insurance as I'm not going to be keeping the car - long story cut short I made a wee mistake on eBay, and ended up buying two impreza's... what a shame.

Also when doing the speedo conversion, does anyone know if the mechanical speedo converter that you use on imported motorbikes is the same fitting as a car one? I ask because www.MandP.com sell them for £29.99 rather than the 60-70 you normally get charged for the car version...

Oh, and if anyone wants a black 1993 WRX, I urgently need to flog off one of the cars that will soon be arriving - £4k on the road, MOT, taxed etc. Pictures available on
http://www.drf-auto-imports.co.uk/sh...s.asp?carID=91

If you're interested in having a look, drop me a line and I'll give you a call when it arrives.

Cheers,

Phil
