Supras are nice and easy to tune up to around 450 bhp plus. I know the guy by me has a standard looking one with a single turbo thats good for over 550 bhp.
Wouldn't worry too much mate. I'd have expected it. Just watch the thing tail out though on a roundabout!

Scooby shootout, was up against a 450 break supra...
We left the line within .05 of a second reaction time... and I made quite a good gap... he just caught me at the line, but was traveling say 10-15 mph quicker... in the end the quarter times were 13.04 @ 98 mph me and 13.02 @ 109 supra...

...and to be honest, your reaction does not make you seem the most sensible person
No i dont like anyone calling me a **** when they dont even know me,so yes anyone who's big enough to call a stranger a **** should be big enough to take what ever is said back to him,and emmmmm would you like being called that????and would you just take it with a pinch of salt?????dont think so.but there again some people are used to letting people walk all over them.
If I went to overtake a car on a single carriageway, and the driver started to accelerate (presumably because his dick's so small he feels the need to beat off any challenge with aggresive driving and defensive typing
), I would be most upset.
I also have a car with 3.0 litres, 24 valves and 2 turbos. Mine's a 4WD drive though, and I know I would launch quicker than a Supra, but would lose out nearer top end.

A Skyline GTR V-spec has apparently beaten a 1.2 Corsa in London this morning. Max Power forum is reeling and the guys at Redline are investigating the performance claims of the manufacturers of his interior neons.

lol funny but getting a bit off topic me thinks. Better cool it before a mod does some real *** kicking
I drove a twin turbo supra a few years ago - it was mental, **** myself though coming off an island, booted it and lost the backend, nearly trashed it but more luck than judgement it stayed on the road.
Had a quick go cos my mate was selling it - would have bought it but some of the cars he sold had a 'dodgy' history.

Hmmm....more aerodynamic, more power (in std form), no transmissions losses like scoob, straightline is overwhelmingly in supras favour.
Now for the real 'watchout': a non-turbo supra with a few breathing mods will have a standard UK new age scoob - and probabaly even a classic - definitely in the top end.
But bring on the rain and twisties...I'll get me coat

Hmmm did you really think you could waste a Supra. I take it you have never actually seen Japanese Supercars really boogie or are you quite new to the Scooby scene. (p.s. serious question not having a laugh or a go). The beauty of the Impreza is it looks even better at slow speeds so the chicks can ogle the car LOL
lol subtyper...wasnt the fact that i thought i could beat it just the fact that i couldnt keep anywhere near it those things are crazy, but your right they are big rear wheel drive cars so when its twistie time dont think they would do so well
Westwood,
You are new on here but I think you have just learnt a key lesson ie to think before you post.
Its a shame some of the responses have got a bit personal, however its considered bad form everywhere to stamp your foot on the loud pedal just as someone is trying to get past you, dual carriageway or not.
The second lesson I hope you have learnt is that Scooby's are very good cars but are NOT kings of the road. What all sensible owners try to do is to enjoy their cars to their full potential without , perhaps, putting themselves and others in danger or doing something silly.
Welcome to the board, but think about your attitude on the road. Its a fecking dangerous place out there, as I was brutally reminded this morning on the M6 as a large crane lifted what was left of (I think) a BMW after he lost it.
I guess the fact that the motorway was closed off suggests that no one survived. Let's put it this way, the car was squashed all the way down to the lower half of the doors, no roof left.
If anyone did survive they would have had their heads squashed well below their shoulder blades......
Enjoy your car.

ive just learnt a mate of mine died last night or today in the UK he was driving a bmw it wasnt a 325i convertible was it?
can i just say something here i wascruising at about 60 on a motorway and the supra was right!and i mean right! on my back bumper coaxing me i wasnt biting he kept dropping back and then shooting back onto my bumper he pulled out then along side me not to overtake and!in the process slowing traffic in the fast lane i put my foot down because i was getting pretty tired of it all and!!!!!! i did think an sti5 would indeed have a chance of pulling away from this supra wrong i was, people on here seem to got the wrong idea of me flying around the place looking for races you would be wrong on all counts, and if there is a lesson from talking to someone the way i was talked to then i have not learnt it i treat people as they treat me,if someone treats or talks to me like a muppet i will treat and talk to them the same way.
