I suspect it's a new version which causes less discomfort in the pelvic area for the lady? I've never known any girl that has used them however.

Benefits... Hmmm

It all depends on the state of your current Coil packs TBH, if they are faulty or broken then you will gain by getting better and more consistant spark. However, if you are just changing for the sake of changing them... you are wasting your money.
