Oil Additives in Gearbox
Has anybody used anything like Slick50 in the Impreza gearbox? Is there any reason why I shouldn't? I've used it in other cars and liked it.
The gearchange has got more notchy when cold since the dealer changed the oil for "Legacy" oil (it has done 90k).
Any thoughts?

Try Castrol Syntrax or Redline Shock proof.. both gearbox oil.. don't believe in all there adaptives, if they worked so well why are they not used from day one etc..
Not good to put stuff like this in the engine due to the turbo heat.. gearbox heat might not be a problem but not sure..

Gearbox synchros live and work on friction, if you put in a friction reducer........................................... ...... you figure it out.
Synthetic gear oils such as mentioned above are very good and will actually 'repair' a dodgy synchro - I've proved it in a Skyline I had.
