Question Fuel Consumption!

Not sure if this is the correct place for this but....

I have a jap import wrx sti 95/96 wagon, i am using optimax and wynn's octane booster. I fill her up so she is full about 44 litres but i am only seem to getting 200miles from full to empty mark, before i have fill up again, combination of normal and giving it some driving. Is this normal or should i be getting more.

I was wondering if it may need a tune up or some new plugs!!

Any help would be grand

Thanks in advance

I have a 93 wrx import (slightly modded), i use optimax and millers booster. Always fill-up when it gets to quarter tank left. Approx £32 to fill it up. Get approx 220/230miles. Sound heavy on juice. Maybe your O2 sensor is goosed.

sounds like mine is knackered then.
I have a MY93 and run Optimax/Millers and £30 top up lasts between 150 and 160 miles!

It is impossible to tell whether your fuel consumption is correct or not Blue Streak, there are too many variables involved.

200 miles from 44 litres is 20.6mpg. That isn't too unrealistic if the use is primarily urban with some stick here and there. If you think that's bad, you should try driving hard for an entire tankful...

You could try changing the lambda sensor. It might help, but then again, it might not.
