Hello,
When I reverse back then brake there is a clunk as the pads contact the discs (at the rear I assume). I phoned my Subaru dealer today - they said immediately "It is the pads moving in the calipers.......Nothing to worry about......they all do it".
It is a 2003 WRX with standard discs and pads. Anyone else have this?
Should something be done about it - none of my others cars (not Impreza's) have ever done this?
Thanks for any advice,
Brian.

I have the same thing on my MY00, every morning when I park at work.
It's a sign that the pads are nice and clean and moving freely.
Once the gunk up a bit with brake dust and grime it'll probably stop.
Didn't do it on the 2 -pots I had on the UK MY94 and 93 WRX tho'
