Default New Insurance after a right-off claim

Anyone had insurance quote after a recent write-off claim?

Currently with tesco, had 6yrs NCD and one SP30. Premium was £930.

I'm expecting Tesco to up the premium to £1500 on renewal based on my own calculations. Anyone with experience of this situation?

Your best bet is to ask Tesco's as all Insurance companies have different rating structures.

Use online quotes. Some only ask how many claims you have had in the last 3 years. If it's 3 in 3 then they won't insure you. Only details they ask is when and what type of accident it was, i.e. your fault?
