autometer oil press sender,will it fit??

Question autometer oil press sender,will it fit??

just got one of these gauge kits, the sender looks massive will it fit under the altertnator,has anyone fitted one?[thought i`d check b4 trying]thanx inadvance.mark

Nope; it won't if it looks like a UFO though fatter in the middle.

Though we are having an extension made up so the sender unit can be fitted away from the alternator; I'm waiting for this "modified" part to come through.

Toxwaz . Have a chat with Mike at ScoobyMania, he sells the braided extension kit for autometer senders. I have one fitted on mine.

£18 i think

Thats a lot of money for not a lot of kit. I went to my local hose maker and he made a hose the correct length including the correct 1/8"NPT - 1/8"BSP ends. It cost all of £6. My local place in glasgow is called hydrasun but there are lots of different places just like them all over the place.

Just my thoughts

Try Demon Tweeks, I got mine from them for around £20 for Braided hose, several adaptors and a Tee piece so that I could Keep the oil light switch as well as the pressure gauge.
