Assuming you have looked in the insurance section have you tried Liverpool Victoria? I think it's www.liverpoolvictoria.co.uk These guys are resonable, but others quoted on here as being competative are tesco, direct line, axa.co.uk (I used axa for a while until liverpool victoria undercut them)

Good luck!

I am changing over to L and V this month ....

The good points in my book are ;-
Any mods allowed as long as they dont change the engine capacity
Dont care about motoring convictions
Free track day cover without your excess changing
180 days a year euro cover for free

Cant be bad...I think the mods one is the biggest. Stops you worrying everytime you want to make a minor change or mod

Try Subaru Insured(AKA schofields) they quoted me 400 quid less than it cost me to insure my old STI. No connection but a happy customer.

If I was to say I had just been quoted £730.80 by direct line would that sould about right to everyone????

It only cost me £50 more 3 years ago for a standard scooby.

looks like the deposit is going down this weekend.

Sounds about right compared to my quote from them, I know how you must be feeling right now "orgasmic" springs to mind its always a worry when ordering fast cars without knowing about insurance first.

FWIW, here's my quote

Priviledge Insurance, 38 years old, no points, Protected Full No Claims live in Essex (Colchester area). £638.

My MY98 with 5K of mods (no PPP) costs me £32 a year more! They told me it was less as car is not modified and has tracker fitted.

some good news all round, insurance is now coming down.
It's very scary when the first insurance quote comes well over a grand, almost made me think twice.

Deposit goes down next week,,,,,,,,,,,, just to excited to think of anything else.
Good job I'm single at the moment, she would for sure leave me with all the chat going on about this newest sex machine

Try A Plan 0845 071 1234. They seem to know what they are talking about. One of the few that will now quote for an import so I guess they will be favourable to a UK?

The number on my insurance document is 0845 246 8551.

Their web site: http://www.privilege.com/

Priviledge do up to 70% No Claims and I'm now protected and can make two claims in any three year period without losing my No Claims. Just renewed my insurance yesterday, I'm now paying £622 (Down about £40 from last year I think) and have a £350 excess. Car is parked on the driveway overnight, not garaged.

Good luck everyone.
