Just thought i would be truthfull with insurance company and tell them i was planning on changing the back section of exhaust, having new alloys and having new front seats. Nearly feel off my chair when they said it would cost me £200 quid extra to have them!! How can they say that they didnt even ask what i was replacing the standard parts with, all they said was that cos they not standard it would cost £200 quid. Asked them if i had the back box replaced at kwik fit would i still get a premium increase, yes was there answer. Bl**dy idiots.
Anything non standard will up premium according to them, so said they better note the non standard bolts, oil filter, oil etc etc, had enough of them by then!

I think they would have a hard job proving your exhaust came from Kwik Fit, but I get your point. I also think they haven't a clue what's going on. Most of them are just call centre staff following computer instructions etc.
