'fluttering' sound under boost??.....

noticed a 'flutteirng' sound under boost, more noticeable in 2nd and 3rd gear.

car is STi03, PPP.

has anyone else noticed this on their car?
(or does it sound like my paranoia??)

cant rember the name for it now, but im sure i read a thread on this the other day, sumthing todo with boost creep or surging or sumthing *minds went blank*

there was a largish thread on this a while ago (try the search). Considered normal anyway. Mine does it too.

You are probably hearing the wastegate working, if it is then nothing to worry about, all perfectly normal.

A reason that you may hear it more in lower gears could be that there is less road/wind noise at lower speeds, its quite hard to hear with OE airbox and cats, sound proofing etc
