autocar mag. Type25, 911 turbo figures!
anyone read this months autocar. looks like the ultimate car has arrived.
0-60 3.9secs 0-100 sub 10 secs (both estimated) 350bhp 358 lbs torque.
34k to buy with your own style of bodykit apparently.

But wrong question - shouldn't be 'anyone interested' should be ' anyone afford it'
btw can anyone actually get a manual car to 60mph that quick? Revs fly up in 1st so damn fast that actually changing at the right time and changing quick enough to 2nd must be virtually impossible..... I can do great 0-60 on my bike cos it will hit 60 in 1st lol

i know some of the extreme evo's running around 350 can hit 60 in 4secs flat with some pipping the magic number so a scoob with similar figures should be able. usually only one gear change is needed which helps. my sti 6 revs to approx 62mph in second and approx 4.5secs to 60(not good for clutch though)

BH, you have to enjoy a complete lack of mechanical sympathy, and it helps when the car is on loan from the manufacturer - ie it costs you nothing when you leave the gearbox 100m behind

All the figures in Autocar for the Litchfield Type 25 are estimated, but they don't sound unreasonable. Legit 0-60 in sub 4 secs for a Scoob is (almost) common - with utmost repsect to those peeps that have actually done it (Craig H etc).

Can anyone tell me if the type 25 is on sale now as litchfield's website is keeping stum.
£32k would make the car even tastier(same as fq330). promised myself a new car when something special arrived, and i think it has.
Lastly what about a name change for the car! how boring is type25. others get FQ330's, WR1's, Evo Extreme etc; so how about it mr Litchfield. If this is going to be the best, lets have a name to represent it; any ideas folks;

In any case, why would Iain feel the need to copy the naming scheme used by the Mitsubishis or other Subarus? The Type 25 monicker sets it apart from the other cars you mention, and I think that's the point. It also makes a play on the 2.5 litre engine, which is one of the things that puts this car a step above the alternatives.
Same goes for the pricing. Why would there be a need to price it to compete with the Evo VIII FQ330? The Type 25 is a better car, and is a bargain at £34K.
