Are small number plates aloud on import cars?
Does anyone know this? if so, is there anywhere thats states this?

Only if there is not space to fit a normal one.

 

Got one on the front of me 94 RA, looks the biz. Though I would not expect it to pass the MOT, the rozers have seen it and just not bothered. though i am an old fart now at 44 perhaps they ***-ume i don't race around..........

 

i read somewhere that import cars are aloud small number plates on...but other night i got a fine for it!! just wanted to check if anyone knew for sure as heard someone had small plate on evo which got fined, but managed to find evidence stating that import cars are aloud small plates by law. So the rozers saw this and apologised and cancelled fine.

Certain imported vehicles may be permitted to display number plates with smaller characters if:

• The vehicle does not have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval

• The vehicle's construction/design cannot accomodate standard size number plates
