Scenario: I have a merc sprinter van kitted out as a camper van - windows in the side, bed in the back (and that's about it - very basic!).

I want to insure it for private use. Simple as that!

So why will nobody touch it? Commercial use fine, private no????

Anyone got any ideas where I might try?

Private use? No problemo. Call Tesco. They'll ask you what your day job is and if you're say, a plumber they'll be a little suspicious and question you a little more. Besides that no problem.
