The SWRT seem to have reverted to gold wheels this season - bit of a pisser as the P1 has Anthracite wheels which are supposed to ape the ones on the P2000 WRC !
Why have they done this?

Well I totally agree, not only have the P1 owners been tricked but also i've noticed alot of guys upgading from 16 to 17 inch wheels have favoured that new brake dust colour.What a Swizz!

Any how was that your 22B on sunday at Bentley? If so you shouldn't worry ..nor me ive always stuck by my gold MIM's.Top day out.

Have you seen the wheels whilst watching Acropolis coverage? If so, where please. I've not been able to find any coverage on the Sky Digital channels (not even worth looking on terrestrial channels I suspect)...but maybe I've been watching too much football already!

Sky don't show much rallying, though there was some on the Motorsports prgram last night. The Irish rally championship has some tasy cars!.

Eurosport normally shows coverage of all the WRC events, with highlights every evening if it's a European event, usually between about 10pm and 10:30pm.

Gold wheels are for STI's. You know an STI because it has engine problems. Anthracite = remapped engine Hey Mr Burns.

Prodrive never said the Rally cars would run Anthracite only gold.

Sorry Jonathon, Prodrive did want to run Anthracite - hence publicity photos of P2000 and press coverage of P1's wheels matching the WRC.
I think Mark is correct, STI's Japanese customers were peeved that suddenly all their wheels were the wrong colour , and there are alot more of them than us UK special edition buyers.
I'd be amazed if they didn't run anthracite in the British rally though.
I like the dust hiding anthracite, and I'd change my wheel colour - but I know I wouldn't be doing myself any favours messing with my special edition.
Still, Prodrive are marketing the 18" upgrade in anthracite or gold for the P1 .
