Ive just ordered a new wrx 5dr but how can i be sure i get a my04 model as not convinced by salesman.what are the differences in spec over the my 03

MY04 has colour coded sills.. they look like a body kit ad on.. instead of the type that look like of a classic.. ie.. plasict with a 'grain' effect.

if you were having the saloon.. the square boot lock is also a good give away.


make sure your car has the coded sills if its the MY04

 

The handle to move the front seats is at the 03 very short and by the 04 it's a large as the seat. (sorry for my English)

 

My 03 wagon is in black so I guess the sills look the same? Also with with no boot lock on the wagon it would be hard to tell? (VIN apart).

 

no.. you will know if your car has the colour coded sides on a wagon.. as they look like a bolt on side trim.. i've got the catologue in front of me now

 

The only way to be certain (and to have some form of redress if they do supply an '03) is to make sure that "Model year 2004 Impreza" (or similar) is stated in writing on your order (which constitutes part of the contract with the dealer).

 

My car's so filthy, I'd never notice...
