Default Bonnet lifting???

Had a bit of a high speed blast the other weekend (obviously on a private road) and the bonnet started to wobble a bit as if it was about to fly up!! Is this normal?? Is it something to worry about??

Its a MY95 Turbo 2000 and I have fitted a mini scoop over the air filter, could this be catching more air and lifting the bonnet slightly??

mods....wasnt sure where to put this thread

Is this perhaps what camp cars do to each other? Just a thought

My '96 model does it too. Was a bit worried at first but got used to it now. Did the mini scoop make a difference on yours? Have a induction air filter on mine and have been thinking about a scoop for a while. Where did you get it from?

Hate replying to this kind of post as we all of a sudden become do gooders and never drive fast, and if you do….you are an idiot.

Anyhow, my old MY99 wagon would do this at 140+. Get to the 150+ and you’re now thinking it going to leave soon. P1 did not do this at all and thats when I have seen it about 10 mph past the end of the clock. Never had a problem with the sti 7 and it’s been to the speed limiter and back once, all under the right conditions I may add. Had the 5 door flat out once, the P1 twice and the Sti 7 once to date. Hope this helps a little.
