Question

Hi all,
as a newish scooby owner i have to say, great site for a great car!
Can anyone give me advice?I have a 97-98 scooby with a few mods done by previous owner, now its my turn and am considering
a)blitz air filter
b)blitz i-D power meter
and c)blitz i-D solenoid boost control
are these items going to take my engine past its limits?im already at about 280bhp.
any advice would be helpful

Cool

Hi there,
I purchased a Blitz Power ID meter, it worked great for the most part but I would get massive spikes on the speed reading hence giving stupid figures on the BHP max figures. This may have been due to my speedo cable not being 100% but I can only guess. The power ID linked with the boost controler via infra-red link looks like a great piece of kit, but you have to be very careful using it, if you are inquizitive with them, it is very easy to push things over the limit and do some serious damage, ie running big boost, low octaine fuel, not enough fuel, too high intake temps, etc.

I know because I suffered an engine failure running similar gear from Apexi, playing with silly boost levels. Give Alex a call at Racelogic he is the guy for Blitz or Dave Perry at DPMotorsport for Apexi

Hope this helps
